Meeting Regarding Hiring Concerns Wednesday 10/29/2008
4 pm until finish, Wednesday October the 29th, at Cuneen's Bar (1438 W Devon Avenue)
The meeting will be to discuss Continental hires (or the lack thereof) within the Philosophy Department, with the goal of finalizing a letter on behalf of the graduate student body to be presented at the next faculty meeting by AGSP president Maria Kulp. The letter will be circulated before being presented to give students the chance to sign it. If you have questions, comments, or concerns that you would like to see raised at the faculty meeting, contact AGSP Vice-President Rebecca Scott (rscott@luc.edu).
Phenomenology Hire Discussion 11/5/2009
Maria Kulp, our representative on the hiring committee for the new phenomenology position, will be at Cunneen's (1424 West Devon) at 7:15 to discuss what we should push for in this hire.
Graduate Student Symposium Thursday 10/29/2009
The symposium will run from 7:00 pm until whenever we get tired of talking to each other, and will be held in Damen Hall, room 732.

First Graduate Student Colloquium 11/12/2008
4:00 pm until finish, Wednesday November the 11th, in the Hussey Lounge in Damen Hall Justin Marquis will be presenting a form of his dissertation proposal on Nietzsche with Nathan Hopkins responding, and Alonso Villaran will present a version of his Master's thesis on Kant and the highest good with Rebecca Scott responding.

AGSP Meeting Friday 9/19/2008
Our first AGSP meeting of the year, held at the Jesuit's Arrupe House. We elected a new treasurer, Kyle Thomson, discussed graduate student nominations for the hiring committee, and made travel plans for the SPEP conference. A letter of concern about the declining Continental strengths of the department was also discussed. The minutes for this meeting are posted under the "AGSP Documents" tab.
